Slip Covered Dining Chairs
Since adding our linen chairs to the dining room, I have been getting a lot of questions about them. They are a popular chair, are a great price, but have a lot of mixed reviews online. So, I thought it would only be fair to give my honest review of them and 12 other slipcovered dining chairs if you are thinking about purchasing them too! Our chairs are the Natural Linen Elena Armchair with Casters from World Market. I have seen a lot of negative reviews online, but I knew we already like them because we had the gray color before.
Cons – low seat, not really a slipcover
Pros – modern look, great price, easy to clean, rollers for easy maneuvering
I personally love the modern look they have and even with the lower seat, they are super comfortable. At first, they seemed a little low for eating, but we got used to it. Joe is taller than me and has a longer torso, so he has no problems at all. But honestly, I probably would never replace all my dining chairs for these. That way if anyone has an issue, they can just sit in a regular chair.
And I've noticed these aren't actually labeled as dining chairs on the World Market website. I think they are more suited for accent chairs and office chairs. While they have been easy to clean so far (I also sprayed them with Scotch Guard), they aren't a real slipcover that can be removed and washed. The Pottery Barn version might be the better option for the extra inch of seat height and it's a real slipcover!

But some have a high back for a more traditional vibe. Or a lower back for a more modern look. While most are true slipcovers, some are upholstered to achieve the same look. Either way, you can't go wrong, it just depends on what you are needing for a dining chair.
